There's a handful of movies that I love to watch repeatedly (i.e. Signs) because they're in my personal set of "classics." Of all of them, probably only Taming of the Shrew (1967) can be considered a legitimate classic. An endearing adaption from the Shakespearean play, this movie is quirky, fun, and captures the feud between man and wife in an untraditional love story. Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton's performance make the Old English dialogue magically understandable—for once. The older quality of the movie fits with the old setting, so, for those of you who can't stand anything older than 1990, you'll survive. And, hey, it's a great way to be cultured in Shakespeare at his most enjoyable.
